The Ritz Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert
Inspired by a travelers’ journey through the desert, Kristina Zanic Consultants chose to base the refurbishment design theme for this project around Arabian culture, but with a touch of luxury. And the resulting interiors are elegant, intricate and unique. More details: https://www.lovethatdesign.com/project/the-ritz-carlton-ras-al-khaimah-al-wadi-desert/
Colliers International was tasked with the project management, which involved covering the existing open space of the reception courtyard to increase the seating capacity for the lobby lounge. The design focused on a Bedouin tent with a skylight and tree feature in the middle of the courtyard that allows natural light to come into the seating space. The Farmhouse restaurant was also redone to offer guests a farm to table dining experience, with interiors that feature barn doors, eclectic fixtures and bold colours in soft furnishings. Subtle traditional Arabian elements have been included throughout in the interior architecture.
